The Cambridge you see on the web, and in the tourist publications, is one that many local people hardly recognise. Having lived in Cambridge for 18 years I tend to keep out of the city centre except for shopping and business. The traffic congestion is truly dreadful for such a small cityh. The great news is that there's plenty of places of interest and beauty in and around Cambridge without piling on top of Kings College/Mathematical bridge/The Backs.
